Welcome to my trilingual (Russian/English/Ukrainian) blog. I also use French at times, but I do try to stay within the boundaries of one language in a given post. I never aspired to be a writer, but ended up publishing short stories, essays and commentary (the latter was often related to Ukraine) here and there after editors contacted my blogs over the years. For short stories and other writings in Russian, see this livejournal blog, out of which I’m slowly moving out, or, for example, this literary journal (zip file on top has more stories). I am also not a photographer, but my nature and travel photos have been published in books by various authors, National Geographic magazine/website, and other places. Some of the photos are on flikr (rarely updated, shared with my husband, though I’m usually the one responsible for photos). I also occasionally upload pictures to my instagram, though many of them are personal/family shots. My husband has a blog and instagram too, and also happens to write books. All this is, of course, just a hobby, somewhat accidental and tangential to our actual lives and professions. So please do not take it too seriously (as I do not). In the past, I changed platforms to avoid unwanted attention and a substantial following, and I hope to never achieve this again.

Фотографии у меня в инстаграме (иногда я добавляю туда новое) или у нас с мужем во фликре (фотографии делаю я, но сейчас я его редко обновляю). Старые рассказы и записи можно найти у меня в жж, откуда я постепенно съезжаю, или, например, в этом литературном журнале (зип-файл вверху страницы содержит больше рассказов). У мужа тоже есть инстаграм и блог, и он время от времени пишет книги (книги на английском на amazon, и на русском на его вебсайте).
